I received my PhD at the Department of Computer Science, University of York as a member of the Artificial Intelligence group and under the supervision of Suresh Manandhar in 2011. I was an assistant professor at Hacettepe University between 2015-2020 before moving to University of Wolverhampton where I worked between 2020-2022 as a Reader in Computational Linguistics. I was also a visiting researcher in 2014 at the University of York, and in 2019 a visiting researcher at the Institute of Statistical Mathematics at Tokyo.

Currently, I am a Lecturer in Computing Science at the Department of Computing Science and Mathematics, University of Stirling.

Nils Bunnefeld is a Professor in Biological and Environmental Sciences at the University of Stirling (UK). Nils works at the interface between biodiversity and society combining natural and social sciences to improve understanding of decision making from local to global levels in relation to natural resource use, climate change, people’s livelihoods and sustainable development. He contributes to science policy through the European Eklipse initiative, which he joined in 2022. Nils has gained valuable expertise through his involvement in Eklipse as a member of the Methods Experts Group MEG (2020-2023) and as co-chair of the Eklipse Knowledge Coordination Body (2023-ongoing).
